-IMPORTANT:

A security relearn will need to be done on the computer before the vehicle will start.  Even though this computer has been programmed to your vehicle it will require a relearn procedure before the vehicle will start.  On older GM vehicles this use to be a simple key on key off procedure.  On the newer computers such as this one it now requires the use of a scan tool to initiate the relearn procedure. 

UNTIL THIS PROCEDURE IS DONE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START.  THIS COMPUTER IS NOT PLUG AND PLAY IN ITS FACTORY FORM AND NO GM COMPUTER HAS BEEN SINCE 1998 REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANY OTHER EBAY LISTINGS MIGHT SAY. 

IN SOME CASES:
A crankshaft variation relearn may need to be performed once the vehicle is
running. This will be evident if the check engine or service engine soon light comes on once the vehicle is running. You will need access to a scan tool to do this and clear any related trouble codes (Code P0315). If this is not available to you a repair shop will have to perform this and clear the related trouble code. The vehicle will run normal but the ”service engine soon”light will come on and a trouble code will be stored until this is resolved. It may also be necessary in some cases to perform an idle relearn on the vehicle.  This is also on a case by case basis. 

NOTICE:
These procedures are the responsibility of the end user.  We sell engine computers programmed to your vehicle, it is the end users responsibility to to both the vehicle theft deterrent relearn, crankshaft variation relearn and idle relearn to make the computer functional on the vehicle when applicable.

We do offer custom programming to disable the vehicle anti theft relearn as a factory function in the computer.  This needs to be done with aftermarket tuning software and has its benefits if you need to get the vehicle running without a relearn.  However, the Vehicle theft deterrent module will throw a security light due to this being disabled if you so wish. (Licensing fees apply should you wish to take advantage of this additional programming)
